Future of Space Exploration. Where are we heading?
This is probably the most asked question from those who are really interested in future and its possibilities. So yes, What is the future of space exploration? Where are we actually heading?
For sure the future of space exploration involves both telescopic and the physical exploration of space by robotic spacecraft and human spaceflight. Projects from Boeing, SpaceX and Axiom Space Station on commercial spacecraft beginning as early as this year. SpaceX is also partnering with Space Adventures to send four tourists to low Earth orbit for a few days in late 2021 or early 2022.
Private firms are spending billions in the sake of getting to space. SpaceX is the one probably at the highest rank on this matter. Government organizations are of-course from the very beginning trying to be the best and establish their dominance in the space.
I think NASA is the best in space, when we compare it to private firms as well. "We will return to the Moon robotically beginning next year, send astronauts to the surface within four years, and build a long term presence on the Moon by the end of this decade" said NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine in the document- The first mission, knowm as Artemis 1.
Upcoming Space Exploration Missions:
Well for NASA Artemis 1 is key to their plan to land humans on the moon, as the agency plans a crewed orbital moon mission in 2023 and then a crew landing in 2024.
Well all this means that we are closer than ever. But let's discuss about some other things, like is space travel dangerous? or is space travel bad?
Firstly, Is space travel dangerous? -
The major health hazards of spaceflight include higher level of damaging radiation, altered gravity fields, long periods of isolation and confinement, a closed and potentially hostile living environment, and the stress associated with being a long distance from earth.
Is Space travel bad? -
Scientists worry that growing numbers of rocket flights and the rise of space tourism could harm Earth's atmosphere and contribute to climate change. New computer simulations suggest soot emitted by the rockets could raise temperature at the poles, significantly reducing seasonal ice cover there, but uncertainty remains about the assumptions used in the study.
So did you got the answer, the future of space exploration is close. We are heading into a future where we will be an space-frank-civilization.
