Self driving cars. The history, present and future.

We are all familiar with Autonomous cars, also known as self-driving cars these technologies are on the trade and everybody is trying to get in it. Car manufacture companies are all making progress so far. By 2025 it is estimated that it will be inappropriate for car manufacture companies to make non renewable cars. 

 History:

In General Motors(also known as GM) 1939 exhibit Norman Bel Geddes created the first self-driving car, which was an electric vehicle guided by radio controlled electromagnetic fields generated with magnetized metal spikes embedded in the roadway. By 1958, GM had made this concept a reality.

Present:

EV maker Tesla's CEO Elon Musk has said the electric car maker will have fully self driving vehicle on the road by the end of the year.

If we look at the progress, everything which is going had been innovative so far. Tesla is the leading one and probably the most innovative also but major companies like Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Porche and even Apple has stepped into this industry. 

Of-course there are new and not so famous yet companies as well like Polestar, Zoox and etc who are constantly dominated to the industry.

Future :

 Self-driving technology is very exciting and futuristic and its probably having a very bright future.

Apple has announced plans to have driverless cars on the road by 2024. Ride-hailing companies like Hyft and Uber are rolling inexorably toward driverless cars. By some estimates AV's could well be a $2 trillion market worldwide by 2030.

Autonomous cars will have an incredibly sophisticated systems including high performance computers and an increasing number of advance driver  assistance systems(ADAS) sensors such as high resolution stereo and mono cameras, RADAR, and LIDAR, as well as future human machine interface(HMIs) such as large 4k/8k.
