Nanotechnology. The History, Present and Future.

Nanotechnology is a field of research and innovation concerned with building 'things' gradually, material and devices on the scale of atoms and molecules.

History:

The ideas and concept of nanoscience and nanotechnology started with a talk titled "There's plenty of room at the bottom" by physicist Richard Feynman at an American Physical Society meeting at the California Institute of technology on Dec 29, 1959.

After 15 years Noria Taniguchi, a Japanese scientist was the first to use and define the term "nanotechnology" in 1974.

Present:

There is a innovation to it in present. Actually we all use nanotech daily, in the form of hand sanitizer and etc.

There are companies which use this technology such as-

- 10 Angstorm

- 3d System

- 3d Dlcon

- 3Dm

Future:

This technology like others will gradually enhance in the future because its so exciting for the scientists around the world that they will try to make it better.

In the future, nanotechnology could also enable objects to harvest energy from their environment. Now Nano-materials and concepts are currently being development that show potential for producing energy from movement, light, variations in temperature, glucose and other sources with high conversion efficiency.

Disadvantages:

Disadvantage include :

-Potential danger to humans and the environment.

-Loss of manufacturing and agricultural jobs.

-Economic market crashes related to a potential lower value of oil due to more efficient energy sources and gold or diamonds, materials that can be reproduced with molecular manipulation.
